This fall, Madrid will once again become a world reference of  the horse riding world, holding the Longines FEI WORLD CUP JUMPING-Mutua Madrileña Grand Prix CSI5*– which, for the fourth consecutive year, will be one of the main sporting attractions of MADRID HORSE WEEK.

MADRID HORSE WEEK, which celebrates its fifth edition from 23 to 26 November in pavilions 12 and 14 of IFEMA, will also play the World Cup Vaulting, in addition to a CDI5* and a CSI2*. In total, nine competition sessions will be offered, with more than 20 tests and exhibitions on the main arena, with a prize pool of more than 500,000 euros.

In this edition, MHW will debut a new specialty, hosting the Final Cup of the ‘Masters of “Doma Vaquera”’, a competition that reinforces the multidisciplinary character of Madrid’s equestrian gathering. After having held seven scoring events between May and October 2017 in various locations in Spain, this “Doma Vaquera” competition arrives in the capital so that those attending MADRID HORSE WEEK can also enjoy the spectacularity of this discipline.

But not everything will be competition in the 50,000 square meters of this great international horse world appointment. MADRID HORSE WEEK, which in its last edition gathered 40,000 visitors, returns to the capital with an incomparable offer of sports and leisure, in which competition, entertainment and fun will shake hands for four full days of activities for the entire family.

The proposal of MADRID HORSE WEEK, both for professionals of the equestrian world and amateurs of all ages, includes various shows, framed in the Hall of the Horse, which will host a multitude of exhibitions and playful and didactic activities. The offer is completed with a Commercial Village with more than 90 fashion stands, equestrian, veterinary, equine, catering, food and decoration, in which various national and international brands will show to the public its latest news. There is also a wide gastronomic area with a varied choice of restaurants.

Throughout the weekend, MADRID HORSE WEEK will offer exclusive demonstrations of natural dressage, western, working horse riding and horse agility, with some of the most outstanding Spanish athletes in this modality. In addition, among many other children’s activities, MADRID HORSE WEEK will offer children the opportunity to have their first experience with the horse world at Pony Park, where different integration actions will also be carried out through adapted riding.

Parallel to the sports and leisure offer, it is worth mentioning the celebration of the III Congress of Equine Sport Medicine, which will take place from 22 to 24 November in Sala Oriente of IFEMA and in which professionals of international prestige will update us on optimization sporting results of horses, risk factors in injuries and many other issues related to the health of these high performance animals.

Tickets for MADRID HORSE WEEK will be available soon on their website www.madridhorseweek.com, with a price from € 15 to attend competitions (€ 10 for children under 14s) and € 5 for the Salón del Caballo ( free entrance for children up to 14 years).
