Javier Gonzalez Fraga shines in Casas Novas

The CSI Casas Novas continues with its second day this Saturday, December 7, with two tests corresponding to the 1* category.
The morning began with the Porsche Trophy, with an international podium. After a full of clean rounds, the fastest time of the 17 participating teams was achieved by Christina Elisabeth Nor-gaard Rud with Lolita da Quinta do Mouro. Completing the course in 57.11 seconds allowed the Norwegian rider to receive the prize presented by Jordi Curros, manager of the Porsche center in A Coruña.
The second position went to Angela Cunha Carvallo, the Portuguese rider repeated podium after being third in the Inaugural Trophy on Friday, this time with Fire Loops 2 M, achieving a time of 57.13 seconds.
Another rider from Portugal, Luís Alexandre Dolgner Ferreira, completed the podium of this first morning test, closing the course in 57.55 seconds with Chedington Tallulah.
The big test of the CSI 1* on Saturday was the Leblond Lenoir Trophy, with heights of 1.40m, where the Spanish riders were again protagonists after completing the podium in the NH Collec-tion Trophy on Friday afternoon.
This time the main protagonist was Javier Gonzalez Fraga, the local rider, better known as “Fino”, decided to jump on the track with his two horses Tik Tak de Pravia and Sonic Jgf, with the first one, he got the best time, 55.96 seconds; with his second horse, he closed the third best place of the course, with a time of 56.83 seconds.
An incredible participation of the Galician rider, who collected the trophy from Enrique Mateo Ortuño, CEO of Mateo Wines, on behalf of Leblond Lenoir champagne.
The only place on the podium left free by “Fino” went to another Spanish rider, José Fumero Hernández, winner of the NH Collection Trophy, with the second best time of this Leblond Lenoir Trophy, again accompanied by Figuier du Roc.
This second day of competition in Casas Novas certified once again the great form of our national riders with Javier González Fraga and José Fumero at the head.
After the CSI 1* category, the competition continues in Casas Novas with two exciting tests in the CSI 5*W. Starting at 18:00, the Marqués de Riscal Trophy will take place with heights of 1.50m.
However, all eyes will be on the test to be held from 20:30 pm, the first Grand Prix of the weekend, the Longines Grand Prix, will be disputed with heights of 1.55m, a time trial with a tiebreaker, where we can see the best pairs of the category looking to qualify for the final of the World Cup Jumping.
