Maeza International Show Jumping Competition attracts internationally renowned riders

Next Friday will mark the start of the fourth edition of the CSI Maeza at Yeguada Finca Maeza (Sariego), and several prominent international riders and horsewomen have already confirmed their attendance.

Among this year's participants for the first time is Brazil's Marlon Modolo Zanotelli, winner of two gold medals (individual and team) at the 2019 Pan American Games, and a team bronze medal in 2023. Great Britain will also be well represented with renowned riders such as Michael Whitaker, a member of the famous Whitaker saga, who holds an Olympic team silver medal and multiple team gold medals at the European Championships. Also attending Maeza will be Laura Renwick, another outstanding British rider who won the individual and team silver medal at the 2015 Barcelona Nations Cup. In addition, joining the CSI Maeza will be Argentine Olympic rider, Martin Dopazo.

Ireland's Billy Twomey, along with Belgium's Thibault Philippaerts, Portugal's Duarte Seabra and Mexico's Fernando Martinez Sommer will also be in the stud tracks. These riders, who have already participated in previous editions of the competition, return to try to take some victory, including the long-awaited victory in the stellar event of the weekend: the Gran Premio Maeza.
