Everything ready for the start of competition at the Maeza International Show Jumping Competition

Tomorrow, Friday, the competition kicks off in Sariego, Asturias.

The facilities of Yeguada Finca Maeza in Asturias will host for the fourth time this 3* international competition. This year, 86 riders and 176 horses from 18 countries will participate, competing for prizes totaling 140,000 euros.

The horses already present today have passed the compulsory veterinary inspection without any setback and tomorrow at 8.45 am the competition will begin with the Ascor Trophy, a 1.25m test. At 10.30 am will start the 1.35m race, corresponding to the Artiem Trophy and to finish the first day of competition, the first race for the international ranking of the weekend, the BMW Autosa Trophy, will be run. The test will start at 14h30 and is one of the three tests of the Longines Ranking FEI that are included in the sports program of the competition. Javier Trenor will be in charge of the design of all the courses.
At the end of the last test, the public will also be able to enjoy the Spain-Germany match of the quarter-finals of the European Championship, which will start at 18h00.

In addition, TPA will broadcast live the most important race of the weekend, the Gran Premio Maeza, on Sunday afternoon from 16h15.
