OVERBOOKING OF REGISTRATIONS AT IMHW

Success at IFEMA MADRID HORSE WEEK, with a waiting list and a high level of participation

IFEMA MADRID HORSE WEEK (IMHW) is preparing for one of its most exciting editions, marked by the resounding success in the registrations of top-level riders for the CSI 1*, CSIW 5* and CDIW 5* competitions. The demand has been such that, currently, a waiting list has been opened.

The CSI 5* will have an impressive international representation, including three of the ten best riders in the world according to the FEI ranking: Steve Guerdat (No. 2), Ben Maher (No. 3) and Max Kühner (No. 7). They are joined by the German rider Marcus Ehning, who has won the World Cup Grand Prix in Madrid on three occasions and returns with the ambition of taking the title for the fourth time. On the Spanish side, the leader of the national ranking, Eduardo Álvarez Aznar, will arrive in Madrid in excellent form after his successful performances in the World Cups in Lyon and Verona. Other prominent names such as Simon Delestre and Martin Fuchs will also be part of this elite event.

In the discipline of dressage, the World Cup will bring together the elite of this sport, including the Spaniards Beatriz Ferrer-Salat, Claudio Castilla and José Antonio García Mena. From the international level, the presence of renowned figures such as the German Helen Langehanenberg, winner of the Grand Prix in 2021, and the Portuguese Maria Caetano, among others, who will compete in a discipline that demands precision and elegance at the highest level, is confirmed.

The CSI 1* also has a waiting list. The massive demand for registrations has exceeded the organization's expectations and the participation of 70 horses and riders from 9 countries has already been confirmed.

In addition, this year IMHW presents the first edition of the Copa del Rey de Doma Vaquera, with a very high level of demand thanks to the participation of the top two finishers in the Spanish Championship, Amador Martin and Jonatan Peña, who will guarantee an exciting and high-quality competition.
