IFEMA MADRID HORSE WEEK returns with the best of equestrian sport

The horses are already settled in the fairgrounds to start the eleventh edition of IFEMA MADRID HORSE WEEK (IMHW), which returns with the prestigious World Cups for Show Jumping and Classical Dressage. This year, it also hosts the Copa del Rey de Doma Vaquera for the first time and offers a varied entertainment plan for all audiences at the Salón del Caballo.

Today, the veterinary inspection has been carried out and pavilions 12 and 14 of IFEMA MADRID are ready to host the event.

In the afternoon, the contact or "warm up" will take place in the main arena of pavilion 12, and in the evening, the official opening will be held with the magical Dressage Show in Freedom by Santi Serra and the Cosaco Vaulting, presented by the Universidad Alfonso X el Sabio (UAX).

Tomorrow, the competitions will begin at 9:00 with the CSI1* City of Madrid Trophy, with a height of 1.25 m, followed by the Madrid Community Grand Prix Dressage World Cup. In the afternoon, the Rodilla Trophy and the ¡HOLA! Trophy can be enjoyed with heights of 1.40m and 1.45m respectively, and the day will end with the Mutua Madrileña Trophy, the main event of the day with jumps of 1.50m, which will be a qualifier for the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup City of Madrid Grand Prix on Sunday. And on Friday, the event will close with the exciting IFEMA Madrid 6 Bars Trophy.

In the Doma Vaquera arena, the competition began today, Thursday, at 4:00 p.m. with the Marjoman Trophy for young horses, and on Friday it will continue with the first part of the Copa del Rey de Doma Vaquera, which is being held at IFEMA MADRID HORSE WEEK for the first time.

But there will not only be competitions. For all horse lovers, the Salón del Caballo will have from this afternoon the Pony Park by ¡HOLA!, a children's activity area organized by Grupo Eulen, storytelling, a Porsche children's scalextric car, a non-stop show track and much more.

In addition, visitors will be able to enjoy a varied gastronomic offer in the restaurant areas of Estrella Damm, Rodilla and Hamburguesa Nostra.
