First day of the Longines Global Champions Tour Mexico, Presented by GNP Mexico Jumping

The first competition of the CSI 5* series in the Longines Global Champions Tour, presented by GNP Mexico Jumping, started on Thursday at 13:00 o'clock sharp. The test was judged in two phases at a height of 1.45 meters.
A total of 54 riders participated in the big test of the day, and it was the Frenchman Simon Delestre and his 9-year-old horse Golden Boy, who took for the second consecutive year the first test of the CSI 5* of the Longines Global Champions Tour de Mexico. Close behind in second place was the Argentinian Ignacio Maurin with Chacco-Conno PS and in third place, the Belgian rider Jéröme Guery with Killer Queen.
CSI 2* TotalPlay Trophy for a young Mexican rider
A total of 57 participants, most of them Mexican, took part in the TotalPlay Trophy, the first CSI2* competition that inaugurated the first day of the Longines Global Champions Tour de Mexico presented by GNP Seguros.
The podium of the TotalPlay Trophy was formed by three young promises of the Mexican equestrian world. The first place went to Martina Franco and her horse “Ecuador de Beaufour”, winning with a faultless ride and a very fast time of 28.33 seconds in the second phase. Second place went to Lorenza Mena Rodrig uezy “Elvis Presley” with a clear round with a time of 29.60 seconds in the second phase. The podium was completed by Eduardo Sanchez and his mare Werika.
CSI 2* Brazil wins the Maestro Dobel Trophy
Thursday ended with the CSI2* Trofeo Maestro Dobel, a test with obstacles at a height of 1.45 meters. A total of 53 riders participated in this test. Only 9 riders managed to complete the course without any faults.
The winner of the test was the Brazilian Eduardo Pereira de Menezes and his horse “Calypso des Matis”, with a great time of 62.65 seconds. Second place went to Mexico's Alberto Sanchez-Cozar and his horse “CBS Khantastic”. Third place went to Argentina, with Roberto Aldana and “Candela de Olympia”.
