With a very exciting tie-breaker, the winner of the Banorte Trophy was defined

The Longines Global Champions Tour presented by GNP Mexico Jumping, closed with a flourish Saturday's activities with the Banorte Trophy, the star event of the day. The Banorte Trophy is a CSI 5* test with a height of 1.50m. Anderson Lima was in charge of the course design.

Of the 43 riders who participated in the test, sixteen made it to the tiebreaker. Denmark's Zascha Nygaard Lill was the fastest rider, finishing her ride with “Com'on Stanley” without faults in an incredible time of 37.52 seconds. Second place went to another fast rider, Belgian Gilles Thomas riding “Luna van her Dennehof”, who was just short of first place with 37.76 seconds. The third place of the Banorte Trophy went to another Belgian rider, Jérome Guery, riding his mare “Killer Queen”.

Victory for the young rider from Czech Republic Sara Vingralkoba at the GNP Seguros Trophy

A total of 13 riders took part in the GNP Seguros Trophy, the first CSI 5* event on Saturday.

The GNP Seguros Trophy was judged as a CSI 5* speed test with a height of 1.45m. 7 of the 13 riders managed to complete a faultless course.

The winner was the young rider from Czech Republic, Sara Vingralkoba riding “Naila v't Merelsnest”. This pair, who started last, won the competition with a faultless ride and the fastest time of the test, which was 69.39 seconds. Belgian rider Wilm Vermeir, riding “D'Amour JMG Z” was the most competitive with the young rider's time, finishing her ride without faults in a time of 69.59 seconds. Third place went to Frenchman Julien Anquetin and his mare “Fiona des Ibis”.

Argentine triumph in the Conade Trophy

On Saturday at 8:00 a.m. sharp, the third day of activities of the Longines Global Champions Tour Mexico presented by GNP Seguros began. The Conade Trophy was judged as a two-phase test of CSI 2* category with a height of 1.45m. A total of 34 riders challenged the course designed by Mexican Anderson Lima. Argentina's Juan Bautista Pidutti, riding “Poblano LS la Silla”, won by riding the fastest and faultless course of the test, finishing the second phase in 35.57 seconds. The second place of the podium, was also completed by another Argentinean, Agustin Lera riding “Gloire de la Rasse”, who completed his track with a time of 35.83 seconds. In third place, the Mexican Arturo Parada Vallejo and his mare “Lovely Woman” finished the course in 36.08 seconds.

The second test of the day, the CSI 2* Trofeo Mercedes-Benz 1.35m, was contested by a total of 60 participants. Only 12 went through to the Winning Round, in which the young Mexican rider and her inseparable “Ecuador de Beaufour”, who were the last to start, took the victory. In second place was another promising young Mexican rider, Xaviera Maurer with “Chactensky PS”, while in third place was also Xaviera Maurer with “Ecuador de Beaufour”. while in third place we also found a third Mexican rider: Eduardo Sanchez Navarro and “Werika”.

Guanajuato Cultural Showcase

This Saturday, attendees were able to enjoy a cultural show with the State of Guanajuato, which included flash mob, estudiantinas, dancers and music. The show took a walk through the history and growth of the state, including key moments that marked the country.

With the presence of the musical ensemble led by the Guanajuato Symphony Orchestra, accompanied by the extraordinary voice of soprano Sindy Gutiérrez, chupícuaros dancers, the jarabe Guanajuatense, dancers performing a contemporary interpretation of the Danza de los Paloteros, giant Mojigangas with faces of Guanajuato icons (Diego Rivera, José Alfredo Jiménez) advanced along the dance floor.

During the presentation, between the stage and the audience, there was a surprise element, a flash mob, with emblematic characters from history, culture and current events that appeared from the table area and joined the show on the dance floor. Miguel Hidalgo, Josefa Ortiz, Ignacio Allende and some insurgents with banners and bells in hand, recreating the call to the struggle for independence.

The emblematic estudiantinas, tradition and music that are present to this day, could not be missing.
