The 107th International Show Jumping of Madrid tarted this morning with the opening trophy. Venezuelan Gustavo Mirabal won the small class of the Opening Trophy, and Alexandra Crown, with a magnificent time of 27.65 won in the second class. The American rider also finished in third position on her second performance.
Mirabal, first rider on Madrid’s arena in this edition of 2017, has maintained the leadership in the first class until he beat his own record, with a time of 28.88. The third place in this first class was for the Spanish rider María Elorz. The second place in the second class was for the Spaniard Pablo Valle.
The day continues with the Coca Cola trophy  and in the afternoon the the Iberdrola and CaixaBank trophies.
